Jonathan Gaunt

Jono is a sustainable living worker, teacher and film maker. His strenghts lie in research, planning, training, organisation and management. With over 30 years experience of working with smaller businesses, co-operatives, colleges, charities, community and economic development organisations, he brings a wealth of wisdom to the services offered by Edible Landscape.

He holds degrees in both Business Studies and Film Making, is on the Wales Green List, is a Permaculture Design Certificate holder and for many years a member of the Chartered Institue of Marketing.

His many past projects include:
developing food import substitution through community supported agriculture, on a pacific atoll at risk of extinction from rising sea levels.
working in Scotland with businesses and voluntary organisations to energise, wood using culture, farmers markets, low impact building, waste minimisation, social inclusion and sustainability indicators.  organising outdoor weekend events called 'A Way with Wood', that brought adults and children together with locally practicing experts to explore sustainable living using the medium of wood, through discussion, design, practical work, and creative play. 
teaching adults, students and children, in schools and colleges in Wales, to connect with the natural world through playing games that awaken the senses.

Most recently, as a Founder/Director of the first Community Interest Company in Mid and West Wales (Trysordy/Treasure House, a Social Enterprise and Community Resource Centre for play, creativity and rehabilitation through reusing business waste materials). Jono won awards for innovative social entrepreneurship and enriching life in the community.
